Cash for free

Right here.  Just apply.

Cash for Clunkers, Cap and Trade, the big trade-offs to save in the future.

I understand the need for these things, to save resources now for a bigger payoff in the future, but all at once?  At a time we’re already broke, the Dems are trying to get us even more broke, and passing bills that are going to guarantee that we stay broke for the rest of this generation at least.

Trading in old cars for new, more efficient cars, I agree with, though I don’t understand how it’s making any revenue.  The automakers have to be getting money from the government to make up for the losses, and people that could be already in financial dire straights are trading in a car to get a loan for a new car.  Heck, the only people pulling any money from this is most likely the scrappers, who get to charge a fee to process the car and get to sell the scraps at whatever the price/per/pound of steel is.  That’s not enough to stimulate the economy in my opinion.  It’s making people spend money that they may not have in order to reduce the cost of the fuel they use.  Makes sense on the energy side, and that’s the one part I agree with, but at what costs?

The same for cap-n-trade.  Eliminate the methods we use to create the energy now unless it uses renewable sources, which will drive up the costs of electricity incredibly, so as to protect the future and our resources.  Something of this magnitude really could be staggered, not just implemented without a vote from the people.  What happens when some other issues tied with this bill hurt the homeowner?  There is no Cash for Clunkers for older homes, but instead now the homeowner has to put out upwards of the cost of their home additional in order to make the home fit w/in regulations.  Buy a home, have it devalued, and dump twice the money you were going to into it, so that future generations buying your home will reap the benefits….but the homeowner never will.  It’s hard to make a 150k home go for 350k just because it was completely rebuilt.  It’ll go for 150k regardless of the effort and money put into it, because that’s what the house it worth.

Basically, I see that the Dems are trying to stimulate the economy by forcing people to spend money they do not have, much like the government is trying to do the same.  What part of finance did I miss, because none of this makes sense.

The biggest thing that bothers me from all of this is how it is supposed to balance out in the future. First, lets read this:

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before,
but had once failed an entire class.
That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

This was an email that I received a few days ago.  I have not had time to verify this story, however even if it did not take place it makes sense.  This is what the government, a seemingly racist government, wants to do to our country.  We’ve already spent over 40 years creating the society dependent on government aid through welfare programs.  It’s done absolutely nothing but create a welfare society when it was supposedly created to help those impoverished people out of that.  What it’s really done is reward negligence, laziness and procreation of ideas and negligent children.  It’s created the idea that it’s ok to not put forth any effort to get a dollar, but instead feel entitled to that dollar because they merely exist and it’s the white man/government/anyone else besides themselves keeping them down.

Yes, I did say racist government.  It goes beyond that, but I don’t think it can be hidden that the current president wants to blame the successful, typically male and white, for the unsuccessful, portrayed as anyone not male and white.  I have seen this before in the Army, where a black or Hispanic guy gets promoted and now is in charge of the platoon/company/whatever, and it’s the white soldiers that get seriously abused.  No, this does not happen every time, probably well less than 1% of the time, but when it does happen it stands out like red paint on a white wall.  this is what I see now…though it’s also coming from the Speaker, where it seems apparent that the woman is both dumb and in charge, and feels the need to make it known who she is.  I don’t think she really has a common enemy except good sense, but the dumb and the racist being hand in hand, it’s guaranteed that we can guess who the targets are.

Cash for free.  I don’t believe it exists.  There is no such thing as an effect without a cause, or a cause that effects nothing.  It’s the most basic of science practices.  When the Cause/Effect relationship is explained, it’s not looked at past tomorrow….case in point, we throw in more money than most people can even fathom or write down on paper into the economy, yes tomorrows effect is that there is more money in the economy.  What about 2 days from now, 2 years from now?  Because a great orator puts it out there means that there is no butterfly effect?  There is, and our generation and our kids generation will pay for this.  Sure, the future may be helped, but  we’re generations away from that, and the only thing that is going to be helped is moving off of petrol and onto solar/wind/hydro/mouses-on-wheels energy.  In the process we also punish the successful because of their skin color, because it’s their fault for x problems, expand the welfare society to every corner of the republic, and hope to breed out common sense by promoting bad decisions and poor education to the people so the government can really take over.
