Hue May Nate Your

So, going over my weekly reading on stuff that should concern most people, but most people don’t want to be concerned with, I came across tidbits of information that a new type of attack could be used.   Well, it’s not new, but it’s a much smaller scale than what has been used before (that I know of)

Attack?  Well, what I’m referring to is terrorist attacks, and some of the Tactic’s, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP’s) that some intel weenies have noticed.  One in particular that caught my eye was the use of small containers with two chemicals, that when combined, can cause severe irritation to people.  One thing comes to mind is mixing dry commercial grade dish detergents with bleach, which makes a sort of home made mustard gas.  Anyways.

The TTP that we should be aware of is that small containers of a mix could be placed around an area, where one could be a liquid in a glass bottle.  On the bottle, there could be a small remote charge that is meant to break the bottle, and cause a mix of the two chemicals.

When employing these containers, they would be placed around an area in order to try and drive masses of people into one large area, more or less shaping a battle space.  This area where there could be hundreds of hysterical people is now a perfect kill zone.  From here, people could expect anything from concentrated gun-fire to placed explosives, to a few of the mingling people in the mass being prepped for self detonation.  (which, coming straight out of Hollywood, these suicide bombers now pack ball bearings onto the charges, effectively making themselves really high-powered Claymore mines, a serious Mass Causality producing weapon.)

It’s a good plan, it will be effective, and many people will be killed.  It’s human nature to run in a panic, especially when in a herd, and bad guys know this.  It also employs time honored tactics that have been on the battlefield for many years, but in much a smaller area, and intent on killing ordinary people, not enemy combatants.

So, knowing one of many ways that we can be attacked, we also know how to combat this…always be on your toes, and don’t run with the crowd.  Hold your breath and push you, your kids, and whoever you can grab, out of the kill zone.  You may be injured from a gas attack, and may spend some time in the hospital, but it’s always a lot better than being full of holes and in pieces.

I know this posting will only be read by maybe 4 people, but maybe it can be passed around as well.  From the morning reports I get briefed on occasionally, people should be a lot more concerned with their own well being than they really are.  A Lot more.
