Starting Shop
I’ve noticed that Google Finally put out Presentation, to go with the Docs and Spreadsheets. I think I’m going to be using this quite a bit for a few different things with OBriNet.
I was also playing with MS’s Slideshow Creator, one of the XP Power toys, and it will create a web-like interface to show pictures. This again, I think I can use for the website.
Then I come across something new with Blogger, called Blogger Play.
Though this has nothing to do with starting up a biz, it’s very interesting. What they do here is show pictures being uploaded to blogger right now to blogs. It’s actually pretty cool to sit and watch this during my lunch break.
Along with starting up the website (hopefully it’ll be fully live in the next 2 weeks) I’ve also decided to completely redo this blog. I’m not going to give anything away right now, but you’ll see it when you visit here sometime in the near future. The hard part about it all is importing all the old postings into the new one. I don’t know of an automated way of doing this, so it’s going to be a painstaking (a pain in the ass) process.
Hotmail Up’s the Ante
I use Outlook Connector to bring in my hotmail account into Outlook. You can do this by default with Outlook for one hotmail account, but it doesn’t sync your contacts, calendar, so forth, natively.
I had to update the Outlook Connector this morning, and noticed that when I checked the status, Hotmail showed that there was 5GB’s of available space. That’s more than Gmail…
I’m not advocating using Hotmail over Gmail. I’m still a Google-head. The past year though, it’s really hard to be against Microsoft. They’re really getting their act together and putting out some very good products. Hotmail is just another showing of that.
Using the Microsoft Live system, it looks and acts more and more like commercial grade products that we use on the Enterprise systems. I’ve got to admit, I’m starting to be impressed.
