Ever the optimist

I know that I’m hardly optimistic. I can be seen as being a pessimist a lot of times, though I think I’m just a realist.

I can’t recall ever going out of my way to find something to be negative about though. I don’t drive around town to find the driver juggling a cell phone, coffee, cigarette, reading materials, and a car…that stuff just happens. I don’t search online for people who believe in something that I don’t either.

Apparently, some people do. I’ve been on some damn distribution list for hell, 4 years now….I don’t know a single person on it, not sure how I got on it…and my attempts to be released from the tip of the feather on the right wing newsletter have been ignored.

These people have time to write something everyday. It seems to be a group of veterans, most retired. It seems that being retired has given them the time to sit around and Google for sites that are un-american (in their opinion), or are written by people on the other tip of the bird’s wingspan. They find a single site, and WRITE INCREDIBLY ANNOYING EMAILS WITH HUGE FONTS AND ANNOYING COLORS, along with un-spell-checked and usually very lengthy sentences (double paragraphs with no periods, punctuation, spacing, sequence, or singular topics) that can span many pages, solely on their hatred and the assumed hatred that the rest of us have, on one other person’s opinion.

Goddamn, people.

I have nothing else to write about. I’m annoyed that even though I’ve built one very long filter to delete these emails, put them in the block senders list in the spam filters, and whatever else I can think of, I get them daily.

I’m all for veterans, all for people having opinions, and all for having opposing opinions. I just don’t care to be inundated by them all the time.
