Of Pens and Swords

Two weeks into living in the new home, and the previous owner left a ton, literally, of crap in the basement and behind the garage. It took 3 trips in a borrowed pickup truck to get most of it out. Some, I’ll take care of another way, since I was tired and didn’t feel like making another trip.
Next on the agenda is to get the basement cleaned. I’ve got roughly 50% of it done, so that we can finish moving the stuff from the garage to the basement. The basement didn’t look like anybody had been down there in years, it being pretty nasty.

If anybody would like to donate a few bucks to help renovate this old place, feel free ;) Hopefully, in a few years, we’ll have the house updated with new wiring, new walls, in a few cases new ceilings, and a new shower. I’m doing most of the work myself, if not all. I have to research the local building codes, but since I have a habit of building something like a soviet helicopter, I’m sure that I’ll fall well within the the acceptable code :)

With all the work that has to be done, I’ve fallen behind in my school work. I’m not a fan of being rushed, but here I am. I sort of knew this was going to happen though, and it’s no big deal. I usually always pull this stuff out in time.

I am probably going to start making a bit of a photo blog on here, with some of the projects that have to be done. Worse comes to worse, I get some good feedback on a job well done, or a job that could have been better. More than likely, it’ll bore the hell out of most people :) No matter, I own this very small piece of internet real estate…
