Stop time or clone

I’m not sure which one I’d prefer. If I could clone myself, then I’d have two people to do all the work I need done…but I’d probably end up having to manage the clone more closely for a while than I’d like, to make sure the work is up to snuff. If I could stop time, I could get everything I needed done for a day, week, month, in a mere fraction of a second, but then I’d end up aging a lot more quickly so I’d end up not having as much time to enjoy myself. Maybe I could just stop time to do nothing but school work :)

Anyways. We’re moved in the house. It’s only 500 or 600 sq. feet larger than the apartment, but it seems soo much bigger than that. It’s nice not having to wait in line to get around the house too; a garage that is doubling as a storage area until we get all settles also fits both our cars…nice; the basement, well, it’s a disaster right now, I have about a ton of crap to get rid of down there. It’s an old house, 81 yrs old, and the foundation is cracked and leaks, so that’s one area to concentrate on in the near term. It’s a small basement as well, but will offer plenty of room to store our stuff.
The bedrooms, pretty nice. The girls’ room is the same size, but will only have at most two girls in it; the boys room about the same size, which means little Sean is not a foot away from our bed most importantly. He also has a toy repository other than the livingroom floor :) Our room, it swallows our bed and dressers. Our room in the previous apartment was crowded at best, now, I’ll have enough room to make a workstation to do school work at and not even encroach on the space. The living room, it’s the same size, maybe bigger, but with a fireplace and not doubling as a dining room, it’s soo much bigger. The kitchen, very nice. It’s small, but larger than what we had, and is more than adequate, and we have a dining room…quiet meals now ;)

So far, We’re both exhausted from moving. I’m sore like I haven’t been for a long time, and tired. I know Jess is as well, plus she has a dozen bruises to boot…she’s all beat up.

We have a yard :) If it doesn’t rain again tonight, I’ll get to mow it. This might sound like a chore, but I enjoy doing yard work, and haven’t gotten the opportunity to do it in a very long time.

We already have a laundry list of projects to do to the house; fix the kitchen sink (it leaks), fix the basement (it leaks) redo the bathroom, put a door on the laundry room/half bath, refinish the floors, repair the porch, redo the deck, fix the yard, redo the electrical, redo the walls, remove the ton of crap left behind…but hey, that’s what all this was supposed to be.

It’s been 4 nights in the new place, and I feel it’s already home :)
