Two weeks and counting
Kansas will suck in a way, but it’ll also be a days drive to my brothers, or to my dad’s, or to my family in STL. It’ll be a long day, but a day none the less. It will be two days from the kids though, two days from all of Jess’s friends and family, and everything she’s used to. In a way we’ll both be in the same boat, but I’m used to this. It’ll be a learning curve, that’s for sure.
The past two weeks have been fun though. I’ve gone to a couple interviews, which none really seem to pan out yet, and I have another interview soon over the phone for one last job relatively close to here. I’ve already told my boss that I’m underqualified for the position however…he still seems to think that there is hope in me getting the position. It’d be nice though.
I’ve had my little girl for the past two weekends, and it’s been fun. She seems to be adjusting fairly nicely. I’ve had to hold my tongue a couple of times too, I don’t need to rush her back into my life where she’s not used to how I am. Overall though, it’s been nice.
Hopefully in the next week or so we’ll know where we’re going. I just want to get on with it, and though having time off is good, it also sucks. I’m getting ansy to do something again. I’m not used to this ;)
It’s Saturday night, and I’m not even bored.
